Over the years of my career so far, I have been lucky enough to do so many different things under the umbrella of professional audio. Through Leelanau Sound I offer clients of all shapes and sizes my knowledge and expertise in any and all of the following areas.

 

My favorite thing to do is to mix bands in a live setting. The energy of an incredible sounding live show is the magic that got me into audio in the first place. I can be hired to run sound an installed sound system or I can bring and set up my own sound system. I can then run it or hand it off to whomever will be doing the mixing.

 

I have experience working in schools from elementary to college. Musicals, graduations, choir concerts, plays. Students can train with me and help set up the needed equipment. I will guide and support them while they learn the ins and outs of running sound for an event.

For musicians today, it isn’t always financially feasible to hire an audio engineer to mix all your gigs. I offer training and consultations with musicians so that for smaller gigs, they can run their own sound with a higher degree of confidence.

 

Need a speaker and a microphone for an evening? Rental equipment is available.

 

Getting quotes to get a new sound system installed can be bamboozling with all the jargon and sticker shock. I don’t install permanent sound systems but if you are getting quotes for a new install, I can offer my opinion from an end-user perspective. Sometimes it’s helpful to have another set of qualified eyes on install quotes from someone who has no financial stake in the game.

 

Perhaps you aren’t doing a complete sound system install, but there are few parts of an existing system that have been giving you trouble or need updates. I can come take a look at things and give you my opinion. I am not a gear dealer so it doesn’t benefit me at all to convince you to buy anything, but I am happy to offer suggestions and connect you with a dealer to get you the gear you need.

 

While I do a lot of different work in the area of audio, I realize that I can’t do everything and don’t always have all the answers. If I can’t help you with what you are looking for, I will use my local connections to point you in the direction of someone who can.
